Practice as much as you want
Every game here deals eight new words. Your daily streak stays safe, so this is the place to test risky openers and learn how the boards react to different guesses.
Once you feel steady, take on today's daily Octordle. New to the rules? Start with the guide on how to play Octordle.
Stuck on a board while you practice? The word finder lists the words that fit your clues, and the Octordle strategy guide explains how to plan your guesses.
Easy practice
Open Settings and switch on Easy practice to get 16 guesses instead of 13. It applies from your next New game, and the daily puzzle always keeps its 13 guesses.
When unlimited mode helps most
Use it to test one idea at a time. Try a new opening set for five games, then compare how many guesses your boards needed. Small experiments like that teach more than a single lucky win.
It also suits short breaks. A game takes a few minutes, and you can leave and come back without losing your place.
Other unlimited modes
Want a different twist? Practice Octordle Sequence to solve one board at a time, or Octordle Rescue to work from four starter words the game plays for you.
Your game saves itself
Close the tab and come back later, and the current game resumes from your browser storage. Press New game whenever you want another set of words.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on unlimited Octordle games?
No. Press New game as often as you like. Nothing here uses a daily cap.
Do unlimited games use the same words as the daily puzzle?
No. Each unlimited game picks eight random words from the same pool of common words, so it is never tied to the date.
Can I lose my daily streak in unlimited mode?
No. Unlimited games do not touch your stats or your streak.
