How to use the Octordle word finder

1. Pick one board and read its tiles.
2. Type each green letter into the box for its position.
3. Under each position, type the letters that showed yellow in that spot.
4. Type every gray letter into the last box. The list updates as you type.

Work one board at a time

A gray tile speaks for one board only. If you mix clues from two boards, the finder will hide words that fit your board perfectly well.

Run the tool once per board, and it will not lead you astray. The how to play guide explains why colors never carry over between boards.

What the two lists mean

Likely answers come from the pool that the daily and unlimited puzzles draw from. Every puzzle word comes from that pool, so when a board fits just one likely answer, that is your word.

Other valid words are accepted as guesses but never picked as answers. They are useful when you want a scouting word that tests new letters.
